Route details:

Characteristic route to the discovery of the traditional life of our place through the daily activities of the locals and cooking lessons of local flavors. Our first stop is the verdant one and one of the representative villages of Crete, Potamies. We will be in a traditional shepherd’s farm and we will see the milking of the goats but also many local activities. There we will taste traditional products made from milk and flour that we just watched their production. Next stop is the dam of Aposelemis, the largest water supply project in Crete. The village of Sfendili is submerged in the waters of the dam with its impressive old houses fading on the surface of the water. It’s a natural wetland with a variety of birds!

We continue the ascent on dirt roads to the gorge of Embassa. Impressive mountains and wildlife nature with unique views. Opportunity to pick local herbs. It’s time for cooking lessons from local professionals. Participation in the preparation of dishes from pure ingredients and local products. We continue to the Lassithi Plateau. Hospitable place and embraced by authentic people. Visit to a pottery workshop for the secrets of ceramic art as well as participate in the course for the creation of your own ceramics!

Time for a tour of the Plateau and contact with its inhabitants. Stop at the local cafeteria. After that, it is time to enjoy the food from the wood oven in one of the best traditional restaurants.
Descending we stop at the picturesque village of Krasi. Its square is dominated by the aqueduct of the 18th century and the imposing centuries-old plane trees and the oldest plane tree of Crete that is over 2000 years old!

We end our day with a tour of an olive oil factory and learning how to extract olive oil. A small taste test will follow! Having enjoyed a route of beautiful images, we return to your hotel full of unforgettable experiences!

Appetizers per 4 people: greek salad, tzatziki, dolmades (stuffed vine leaves with rice), bread

Menu options: pork with potatoes, chicken with potatoes, Vegetables ”Briam” (vegan)

Desserts: seasonal fruit or homemade dessert with raki

Everything is baked in a traditional wood oven

Kids menu options: pork souvlaki with french fries and salad, chicken souvlaki with french fries and salad, beef burgers with french fries and salad, vegetables “Briam” (vegan) 

For the kids we can provide any available other option the client wants upon request.

The menu can be changed if there is any allergy

For cancellation up to 2 days prior to arrival no cancellation fees

For cancellations 1 day prior to arrival 100% cancellation fees

1. For bookings 2 days before departure please contact us in order to check availability!
2. Please provide fullname, telephone number (country code included), e-mail and accommodation details (hotel name & address) upon booking.
3. Please arrive on time to the given pick-up point. Unfortunately, there is no option to wait for latecomers. In case of delay, missed pick-up, missed departure time, no refunds.
4. Not allowed drinking/eating/smoking inside the vehicles
5. The use of the seat belt is mandatory
6. The travel agency reserves the right to alter or cancel any tour due to adverse weather conditions or insufficient passengers number or force majeure 12 hours prior to departure time with a notification to the traveler.
