But as with all world-famous sites, this magnificent monument can get crowded in high season, and during the Greek summer months, it can get quite hot on top of the Acropolis Rock as well!

With this specially-designed afternoon two-hour tour of the Acropolis, you have the chance to beat the crowds and escape the heat, to enjoy an unforgettable visit and a more intimate experience of one of the world’s top landmarks.

With your top-rated licensed guide, you’ll step back in time and discover how Athens became one of the greatest cities of the world, a beacon of civilization and how the concept of Democracy was born in the 5th century BC, while you visit all the unique monuments on the Hill: from the Theater of Dionysus, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, the Propylaia and of course, the crowning achievement of Greek civilization: the marvelous Parthenon.

This tour is specially designed to be ideally combined as a follow-up to our Acropolis Museum Discovery Tour, as both the tour’s starting time and meeting point are nearby.

Cancellation policy:

For cancellation up to 4 days prior to departure date no cancellation fees

For cancellations 3 days prior to departure date 50% cancellation fees

For cancellations 2 days prior to departure date or no-show 100% cancellation fees

Please arrive on time to the meeting point. Unfortunately, there is no option to wait for latecomers. In case of delay, missed pick-up, missed departure time, no refunds.
Your meeting point is the Arch of Hadrian. Detailed instructions will be sent to you upon booking.
Tour not operating on January 1st, March 25th, May 1st, December 25th & 26th, Easter Sunday
Strollers and wheelchairs cannot be used throughout the tour and especially on the rock of the Acropolis and have to be left at the WEST entrance of the Acropolis (not the south entrance which is used for this tour).
The travel agency reserves the right to alter or cancel any tour due to adverse weather conditions or insufficient passengers number or force majeure 12 hours prior to departure time with a notification to the traveler.
