Embark on an enchanting journey to the historic village of Alikianos, just a stone’s throw away from Chania. Our adventure begins with a picturesque drive through the verdant valley of Ayia, leading to the charming West province of Chania. In Alikianos, immerse yourself in the village’s rich history with a leisurely morning walk through its winding alleys and iconic landmarks. A delightful stop at a local “kafeneio” invites you to savor a Greek coffee or tea while our knowledgeable instructor shares captivating tales and traditions surrounding traditional Cretan dances like “Syrtos,” “Pentozali,” and “Sousta.” The cultural odyssey continues as you transform into a Cretan. Don the traditional outfit, each piece carrying a unique story unveiled by your instructor. A memorable photoshoot captures your essence in this authentic attire, and the images are yours to cherish. Next, venture into the world of Cretan dance at the academy. Guided by a skilled local dancer, you’ll master the intricate steps of at least three traditional dances. Patient guidance ensures an immersive and enjoyable learning experience.

*** Important note for your pick-up ***

This tour is including hotel pick up – drop off for accessible by car hotels only (many streets of the old town and the harbor of Chania are having limited vehicle access) in the region of Chania. Clients that staying in the old town and the Venetian harbor have to meet us in the suitable meeting points (3-5 minutes average walking distance from most of the hotels). The meeting times scheduled according to the hotels’ locations. The pick-up will be from the clients’ hotel (if accessible) at this specific time.

For cancellations up to 2 days before the event, no cancellation fees

For cancellations 1 day before the event, 100% cancellation fees

Notes:

1. For bookings up to 2 days prior to departure please contact us in order to check for availability.
2. We require minimum 4 pax to operate this tour.
3. Please provide fullname, telephone number (country code included), e-mail and accommodation details (hotel name & address) upon booking. Passport is also required.
4. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
5. Dress code is comfortable clothing and shoes, a light jacket might needed in Spring/Autumn. Extra clothes to change after the dancing class. Sunscreen and hat during summer months. Don’t forget your camera!
6. Tour capacity 1 – 20 participants. Recommended for families, friends, couples.
7. Not wheelchair accessible, not strolled accessible, pets allowed.
8. Please arrive on time to the given pick-up point. Unfortunately, there is no option to wait for latecomers. In case of delay, missed pick-up, missed departure time, no refunds.
9. The travel agency reserves the right to alter or cancel any tour due to adverse weather conditions or insufficient passengers number or force majeure 12 hours prior to departure time with a notification to the traveler.
