Knossos is the most famous place in Crete and a must-visit during your stay on our beautiful island. This ancient site was the center of the powerful Minoan civilization, which ruled the Mediterranean. As we explore the ruins and hear the stories of Knossos, we will discover the amazing history of the Minoans.

In Knossos, you will see many important spots, like the small palace, the mural room, the royal tombs, and the royal mansion. The palace is famous for its maze-like corridors, which gave it the name “Labyrinth.” According to legend, this is where the Minotaur lived. The palace impresses visitors with its unique design, luxurious materials, and advanced drainage system. Even today, Knossos remains one of the most fascinating sights in Crete.

After our visit, we head to the village of Patsides to explore the Minoan Farm. Here, you can taste traditional products and walk through fields full of Cretan herbs. You will also learn about local beekeeping and taste pure Cretan honey, known for its rich flavor and health benefits.

Next, we return to Heraklion for a walk in the city center with our guide. You will then have free time to shop in modern stores, enjoy a coffee or lunch in one of the local restaurants, visit the Archaeological Museum, or explore the city’s charming medieval buildings.

The timing of the program will be approximate, depending on traffic and weather conditions as well as the unexpected overcrowding.

Not Included:

❌ Knossos entrance fee (20€ per person / free entrance for EU citizens up to 25 years and 50% discount from October 1st till May 31st for EU citizens over 65 years old. Only with valid ID or passport at the ticketing office.) – Paid on the spot in cash

Children up to 3 years old free of charge and traveling on parents’ lap.

Children 4 – 12 years old 50% discount.

Cancellation policy:

For cancellation up to 2 days prior to arrival no cancellation fees.

For cancellations 1 day prior to arrival 100% cancellation fees.

1. For bookings 2 days before departure please contact us in order to check availability!
2. Please arrive on time to the given pick-up point. Unfortunately, there is no option to wait for latecomers. In case of delay, missed pick-up, missed departure time, no refunds.
3. Please provide fullname, telephone number (country code included), e-mail and accommodation details (hotel name & address) upon booking.
4. The travel agency reserves the right to alter or cancel any tour due to adverse weather conditions or insufficient passengers number or force majeure 12 hours prior to departure time with a notification to the traveler.
