Embark on the legendary “Zorbas the Greek: Heraklion City Treasure Hunt & Tour” in the heart of Heraklion, Crete, and follow in the footsteps of the iconic character from Nikos Kazantzakis’ renowned novel. Dive into the vibrant culture and rich history of this ancient city as you uncover clues and solve riddles that will lead you to the vibrant markets and ancient landmarks of Heraklion. Immerse yourself in the traditions, flavors, and music that inspired Zorba’s lively character and defined his philosophy. The secrets of Cretan culture are waiting for you to uncover, all while embracing the warmth of the locals and indulging in the richness of Greek hospitality and food.

Let the spirit of Zorba guide you on this thrilling Treasure Hunt. This is a hybrid game, so you’ll use the Narratologies app to discover places, read stories, and solve riddles to find your next stop. Along your way, you will meet our treasure hunt facilitators, who will assist you with the gameplay and offer you tasty local Greek goodies.

Εach competing team consists of 3-5 persons. The team with the biggest collection of Gems is the Winning Team. The points are counted from the mobile phone of the Team Leader of each team. The Game Master/Facilitator is present during the whole event so as to assist the players with the game play and serve them at the food stops.

At each Treasure Hunt Point:

1. You discover a Fun Fact/ Story of the Place you visit (audio & text)

2. You solve a local Quiz

3. Collect your Gems

Discover:

•  Venetian Fortress Koule (Starting Point)
• Morosini Fountain
• Church of St. Titus
•  Bembo Fountain
• Nikos Kazantzakis Tomb (Finishing Point)

Food Tasting:

•  Regional delicacies,  “kalitsounia”or ”bougatsa”
• Traditional  “Dakos” salad and  meatballs

Photoshoot:

• Views to the vast Aegean Sea
•  Venetian Loggia and other architectural gems
• Venetian fortress knightly selfies

Tips:

• Take a cap, sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes, and water with you
• Have your mobile phone charger

Cancellation policy:

For cancellation up to 2 days prior to arrival no cancellation fees

For cancellations 1 day prior to arrival 100% cancellation fees

Non-show 100% cancellation fees
